Organizational Description:
AgriWellness, Inc. was chosen to govern and serve as the administrative entity for Sowing Seeds of Hope Regional Network. The Network is a collaborative of state and local grassroots faith-based and community organizations and governmental agencies that provides behavioral health and related services to agricultural communities.

Grant Purpose:
AgriWellness, Inc. will build capacity in the area of revenue development strategies. The goal of the project is to establish a comprehensive, coordinated formula of federal, state, private, and local funding streams and in-kind resources. This will be accomplished through assessment workshops for state partners. Each state partner will coordinate the distribution of the revenue development assessment to state coalition members, participate in the revenue development workshop, coordinate and participate in state coalition technical assistance workshops, and provide leadership in the implementation of fundraising processes and techniques.

Grant Purpose:
Angel Ranch has identified two critical areas for capacity building efforts under this grant. To address these areas, the organization will hire a consultant to conduct an assessment of the organization’s gaps in leadership and organizational development. It will then pursue training and development opportunities for its board of directors in the areas of governance and board roles in successful non-profits. In addition, the executive director will work with an executive coach, for one year, to receive guidance and assistance in developing an organizational manual for operations. A board manual and a strategic plan for the organization will also emerge from these efforts.

Grant Purpose:
CCLC will improve its capacity by hiring a volunteer coordinator for thirty-five hours per week to recruit, screen, and train new volunteers; schedule and coordinate volunteer services; serve as a liaison between program directors and volunteers; oversee volunteer evaluation and recognition; and maintain an agency planning calendar for volunteer services. The funds will also be used to purchase a computer and software training materials for volunteers.
