Field Tested Best Practice

A field tested best practice is a program, activity or strategy that has been shown to work effectively and produce successful outcomes and is supported to some degree by subjective and objective data sources.

 
Research Validated Best Practice

A research validated best practice is a program, activity or strategy that has the highest degree of proven effectiveness supported by objective and comprehensive research and evaluation.

Identify Existing Best Practices That Meet Identified Needs

  • Conduct research to identify best practices
  • Ensure criteria and selection process is valid

Identify & Validate New Best Practices

  • Find potential best practices
  • Describe and document the practice
  • Validate the practice

  • Through peer-to-peer network and communication systems.
  • Through direct training and technical assistance.

Increased capacity for organizational and programmatic effectiveness among FBCOs and intermediary organizations.
